She's Gone Flyin'

For years I have wanted to fly in a small airplane. For my 30th birthday, my wonderful husband helped to make this happen. My birthday isn't until later in May, but today the weather was perfect for flying. A special thanks to Nathan and the Mann family for helping to make this happen!

Pilot: Bob Mann

Family Pic

My good friend Crystal Adams came to the airport in Danielson to see us off...

I felt like a young kid on Christmas Day!

Maddie Sue was ready to leave with Mommy, but daddy kept both kids while Mommy had her fun. What a great husband I have!

Ammon was ready to fly the plane by himself and kept asking to have us close the door. Future pilot among us, who knows?

Bob Mann in front of the plane... The Mann Family is incredible. His 85 year old mother taught Ammon in nursery. She is truly inspiring! She's very healthy, active, and sharp as can be. His wife is also amazing. Sharon and I both taught senior primary last year. She makes the best cookies, is always first to lend a helping hand, and always has the most positive outlook on life. They are great examples to Nathan and me.

Maddie's Six Month Portraits

At Maddie Sue's 6 month check up, she weighed 16 lbs even (50th percentile) and was 25" long (25th percentile). Time is passing too fast!

Easter in New England...

Nathan did not work the Saturday before Easter, so we had a much needed 'Family Day." We took Ammon and Maddie Sue to the Providence Children's Museum and also attended a local Easter Egg hunt.

Posing for the picture... now please let me find eggs!
Ammon loves candy as much as his mommy does!
Maddie is teething - thus explaining the drool on her sweater.

Ammon's First Day of Preschool

Ammon started preschool this past week. He'll be attending Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for a few hours in the afternoons until the school year ends. He was very familiar with the building since we're been attending play groups there on Thursdays for the past year with Parents as Teachers. I kind of expected him to struggle with this transition. Although he was a little anxious the first day, he did really well. Doesn't he look so grown up in this picture? It's amazing how quickly time flies. It seems like we just celebrated his third birthday, and his forth is just around the corner.
