Light Therapy
Maddie Sue decided that she was not done at the hospital and so we took her back for some spa treatment called Light Therapy. She has been in for three days for jaundice and looks to be getting out this afternoon or tomorrow morning. It has been tiring for mommy to be staying at the hospital for so long, but we are excited that the baby is healthy and gaining weight.

Maddie Sue Comes Home
Maddie or Maddy? However we end up spelling it, it will still be cute. We brought our little baby home today and had a great day at home together. Madelyn has such a mellow, peaceful personality. For those who know Ammon well, you know that we deserve it!
Apparently, daddy bores her.

More Pictures
On his first visit, Ammon would not even acknowledge the baby, but on his return visit, he opened up to her. He held her, kissed her, and gave her hugs. Hopefully, he continues to adjust quickly. He has a very difficult time adjusting to change and we have been praying that he will accept this huge change quickly. We have been talking a lot about what a good big brother he will be and are trying to give him lots of attention. The real test is when Madelyn comes home tomorrow.

Introducing Madelyn Susan King!
Born at 1:28 am at the Day Kimball Birthing Center in Putnam, CT, Maddie Sue weighed in at 5 lbs 15 oz and measured 18 inches long. Both mother and daughter are healthy and happy. Lona will check out of the hospital on Thursday. More pictures to come!
Our first visitor was Alexis Rich, who was so kind to keep Ammon overnight and brought gifts for mommy, Maddie Sue and Ammon. Thanks Alexis!

Mystic Aquarium with Ethan
This was an eventful weekend. Ammon had two friends come and play with him on Saturday, which he absolutely loved. I told him Friday evening that his friends Brynly and Ethan were coming over on Saturday. His response was, "Ahh, they're my best friends. We're the three race cars and we'll be friends forever." Ever since he turned three, he's been obsessed with threes. Every time he eats something, he insists on having three of them. So, having three friends together was a very special event for him.
Today was the primary presentation. I was a little concerned how Ammon would handle having mommy sitting with her class in the front while he remained in the congregation with Daddy. During the program he came and sat on my lap. The children stood to sing and Ammon got up and started walking. I initially thought that he was going back to Nathan, but soon realized that he had other plans. He walked to very front, walked up the steps to the podium, grabbed the microphone and began to sing, "La La La La."

This octopus usually is hiding in a corner when we visit, so Ammon was captivated when it decided to spread out in the middle of the viewing area for everyone to see.
Every time we visit, Ammon has to run to this little pincher toys and have a fight with daddy.

Pumpkin Patch
This weekend, the Adzima Family invited all the children from our ward to visit their pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin for Halloween. Ammon had a blast playing with the other children, enjoying the tastey snacks, and picking his own pumpkin. Thank you so much Gwen!

Fall Festival
We attended a local Fall Festival last Saturday. The weather was beautiful and we loved soaking up the sun! We enjoyed picking apples, riding on a hayride, and sampling apple cider. I think fall is one of my favorite times of the year... it's especially beautiful in the New England area.
