Providence Children's Museum

We visited the Providence Children’s Museum with Crystal & Ethan Adams this past Saturday. Both daddies were working unfortunately. Nathan’s unit has a UCI this year, so he’s been working every Saturday for the past few months. Even with a GPS, I had a difficult time finding my way in Providence, but the boys had a wonderful time playing and experimenting with everything there. I think the “water room” was Ammon’s favorite. He was also quite intrigued by the dragon on top of the building too.

Easter Family Day in North Kingstown, RI

The Rhode Island Air National Guard held their Family Easter Festival today.
Greeting the Easter Bunny
Since it rained all day, the egg hunt was held indoors
Ammon opened up every egg and inspected the candy as soon as he found them. Ammon is quite the little artist!
Even Maddie managed to find an egg...
Ammon was a little more fond of the Easter Bunny than Maddie Sue was.

Hard at work...

Maddie is 5 months!

Here are a few pictures of our precious little ones from the past week:

Ammon loves his sister's new booster seat and is very willing to share toys with
her now and she is sharing this fun new toy with him.

Maddie loves to eat solids!

She wore this outfit for the first time... and I think it was already on the small side, so I took of a picture of her in it since it would be the first / last time that she was able to wear it. Maddie is always so cheerful in the mornings... as soon as I pulled out the camra, this is the face she made though. Pretty spring dress I love this picture. Maddie discovered her feet the past few weeks and loves to suck on them. She's quite flexible!

This past weekend, the YM/YW had a volleyball tournament at the stake center. We left early that morning and spent time together at the Mystic aquarium. Maddie loved to look at the fish tanks. I don’t know if it was the bright lights that caught her attention or the fish swimming inside them. We were also able to watch people in scuba diving gear feed the fish and clean the tank.

Ammon constantly amazes me by his memory. He knows exactly where all various fish as located and remembers the scientific terms of each fish and specific details about them. His memory is definitely much better than mine.

Ammon loved to watch the youth from our ward play volleyball. Keeping him off the courts was a real challenge though. Our Ward has such great youth. They are so great with Ammon. He loves and adores them! I’m so grateful that Nathan is able to serve in the Young Men’s Program.

Who Me?

I have been tagged by my sweet sister-in-law Bethany (By the way Beth, I don't know how you find time to garden)

I'm supposed to list 5 non important facts about myself...

1. I'm a clean freak. If things are not in order, I can't relax until they are.

2. I am completely tone deaf. Not only can I not sing in tune, I can't tell if anyone else is.

3. When I find myself in an uncomfortable situation, I laugh... I don't know why I do this.

4. I have this reoccuring nightmare that I forget to go to a class that I registered for and flunk it.
It's been years since I graduated from college too...

5. I am scared to death to have my kids near water. I make Ammon hold my hand the whole time.

Okay now I tag 5 others...

1. Crystal Adams
2. Shirley Dayley
3. Jan King
4. Kim Mosley
5. Shayleen Palmer

Does anybody else ever feel this way?

This caption made me laugh, because I've felt a lot like this lady lately. I just wish I had that many arms.

February Updates

This month has been hectic in our house. Nathan, Ammon, and Maddie all had colds. Each one of them took turns getting sick. Ammon and Maddie were also on antibiotics for ear infections and Ammon's right eardrum ruptured a few weeks ago. He woke up with blood and goop draining from his ear. When I first saw the bedding, I thought that maybe he had a nose bleed that night while he was asleep. I was pretty freaked out once I realized that it had come from his ear. The ENT said that it looks like it's healing well and that the ear infection appears to have cleared up. I think his balance has been off a little bit as well and he's fallen down several times.

Nathan and I have been up with sick kids at night for a little over two weeks now. Needless to say, we both are feeling pretty exhausted. We have enjoyed life amidst the ciaos though... Enjoy the pictures.

Daddy and Ammon made a playhouse out of a big box.

It's amazing how much fun children can have with boxes!

Miss Maddie Sue tasted rice cereal for the first time this week. She loves baby food!
Check out this little angel's smile!
